Skyward Sword Shields stamp by Chrysalislover Skyward Sword Shields stamp by Chrysalislover
Continuing with my "Skyward Sword" stamps, here's one of the different shields you can get in the game :D

These are the different shields, in order:

- Wooden Shield - This is the first shield Link gets in the game. He recieves it from Instructer Horwell at the Knight Academy, in preperation for setting out on his quest to find Zelda. This basic shield cannot withstand very many hits, and will burn up if it comes into contact with fire. However, it does provide protection against electrical attacks. If it ever gets destroyed, Link can buy a new one from Rupin's shop in the Skyloft bazaar.

- Banded Shield - With the right treasures, Link can upgrade the Wooden Shield into the Banded Shield. Compared to the Wooden Shield, the Banded Shield is more durable. However, it's still just as vulnerable to fire.

- Braced Shield - With the right treasures, Link can upgrade the Banded Shield into the Braced Shield. Compared to the Banded Shield, the Braced Shield is even more durable. Like the Wooden and Banded Shields, however, it can still be destroyed by fire.

- Iron Shield - This is the first level of iron shields that Link can get. After a certain point, he can purchase it from Rupin's shop in the bazaar. Compared to any of the wooden shields, the Iron Shield has better durability, and is immune to fire. However, it also conducts electricity, and thus does not protect Link from electrical attacks.

- Reinforced Shield - With the right treasures, Link can upgrade the Iron Shield into the Reinforced Shield. Compared to the Iron Shield, the Reinforced Shield is more durable and fire-proof. However, it's still just as vulnerable to electricity.

- Fortified Shield - With the right treasures, Link can upgrade the Reinforced Shield into the Fortified Shield. Compared to the Reinforced Shield, the Fortified Shield is even more durable, and just as fire-proof. Like the Iron and Reinforced Shields, however, it is still vulnerable to electricity.

- Sacred Shield - This is the first level of sacred shields that Link can get. After a later point in the game, he can purchase it from Rupin's shop in the bazaar. The Sacred Shield isn't as durable as a lot of the wooden and iron shields, though it also has the special ability to quickly regenerate itself over time, if not used. The Sacred Shield also provides Link full protection against fire, electricity, and curses.

- Divine Shield - With the right treasures, Link can upgrade the Sacred Shield into the Divine Shield. Compared to the Sacred Shield, the Divine Shield is just as durable, and retains its ability to regenerate over time. It also provides Link the same protection against fire, electricity, and curses.

- Goddess Shield - With the right treasures, Link can upgrade the Divine Shield into the Goddess Shield. Compared to the Divine Shield, the Goddess Shield is even more durable, and still retains the ability to regenerate over time. Like the Sacred and Divine Shields, it still provides Link with full protection from fire, electricity, and curses.

- Hylian Shield - The Hylian Shield is the best shield that Link can get in the game. In order to get it, however, Link must win eight battles in a row, in Lanayru's boss challenge minigame. Unlike any of the other shields, the Hylian Shield is indestructible, no matter how much damage it withstands. It gives Link full protection against all types of attacks, and is also larger than any of the other shields, thus giving him more effective protection.

-----

As a little bit of trivia, if you examine the designs in each of the first nine shields, you will see that the first, second, and third level of each one bears similar designs to it.

Here's a stamp of the different swords from "Skyward Sword", if anyone is interested

Thanks :D

And, totally ^^ I love having it. For me (clearly you were able to do so without it, lol), it proved invaluable in the final two battles.
